Community Interest Company
About West Ealing Community CIC
West Ealing Community CIC is a not for profit Community Interest Company set up to support projects and activities that benefit people who live, work in, or visit West Ealing.
We bring local people, organisations, businesses and partners together to strengthen community life, support local initiatives and help improve the area.
Why the CIC was created
West Ealing Community CIC was created in response to local concerns about anti social behaviour in West Ealing.
After an assault in Dean Gardens in September 2015 led to the cancellation of the annual West Ealing SoundBite Festival, local residents and stakeholders came together to discuss how the community could take a more active role in improving the area.
The group included local residents, faith groups, housing associations, businesses, Council representatives, councillors and the police.
Our journey
The CIC has developed from a local response to community concerns into an organisation supporting events, projects and community spaces in West Ealing.
2015
The Beginning
Following the cancellation of SoundBite, West Ealing Neighbours called a meeting of local stakeholders to discuss how the community could help address anti social behaviour in West Ealing.
2016
Establishing the CIC
West Ealing Community CIC was formally set up in 2016. It gave local stakeholders a structure for meetings, events and community activities.
The CIC also took over the annual SoundBite Festival and started the annual Christmas Fair.
2025

In early 2025, the CIC became the vehicle for taking on West Ealing Community Library after earlier attempts by other local organisations had not succeeded.
